About this role

We are searching for a guest services representative.  Someone who will deliver exceptional customer service and enhance patient and family experience within a comprehensive guest services program that helps meet the unique needs of patients and families at Texas Children's Hospital, to include providing directions and wayfinding, transportation and lodging assistance, as well as patient and family programming.

Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year Experience in a healthcare or customer service setting required.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as central point of contact delivery timely and relevant information and services. 
  • Provides families with knowledge of parking options, lodging, and local resources as needed over the phone and at welcome desks. 
  • Supports families by creating awareness of services and resources available within hospital (Social Services, Family Advocacy, Child Life, Language Services, and Spiritual Care) and contacts appropriate departments to assist families.
  • May communicate physical directions and verify patient appointment(s)when patients and families call the Texas Children’s appointment line. 
  • May manage parking validations to for multiple departments. 
  • May escort families to patients; provides updates to relevant teams via Emergency Code Pager.
  • May act as a bilingual resource for teams (valet, security, admissions) needing to communicate non-medical information to families.
  • Provides concierge services to patients and families
