POSITION OVERVIEW 

As a Food & Beverage Server, you are the face of the dining experience, responsible for extending warm hospitality and ensuring every guest receives prompt, courteous, and world-class service. Your role is to create a welcoming environment that makes guests feel as if they were in your own home. The Server is key in driving guest satisfaction and sales by suggestively selling menu items, maintaining top-quality food and beverage standards, and ensuring all Health Department guidelines are met. Through genuine hospitality, product knowledge, and attention to detail, the Server delivers a personalized dining experience that builds guest loyalty and supports the success of the restaurant. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide exceptional guest service with professionalism and courtesy. 

  • Deliver a personalized guest experience by anticipating needs and ensuring satisfaction. 

  • Responsible for driving overall sales through suggestive selling and menu knowledge. 

  • Ensure all food and beverage items are prepared, presented, and served to established standards. 

  • Comply with all Health Department regulations, alcohol awareness requirements, and company service standards. 

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area and workstations. 

  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth service flow. 

  • Respond to guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues as needed. 

  • Perform side work and opening/closing duties as assigned. 

  • Carry out any and all additional responsibilities within the scope of the position. 

 

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 

  • 2 to 3 years of serving experience in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant preferred. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service. 

  • Must demonstrate honesty, integrity, and professionalism inside and outside of the workplace. 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Food Handler’s Certification Card and Alcohol Awareness Card. 

  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. 

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment. 

  • Must strive for 100% guest satisfaction and consistently deliver service excellence. 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests, team members, and management. 

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English. 

 

REASONING ABILITY 

  • Ability to handle guest concerns and resolve issues with professionalism and sound judgment. 

  • Capable of working under pressure and maintaining composure during peak service periods. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • Fast-paced, high-energy restaurant environment. 

  • Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and frequent guest interaction. 

  • Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays. 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods of time. 

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 45 pounds. 

  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions associated with serving tasks.
