POSITION OVERVIEW 

 

The Price Book Coordinator is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and accuracy of item-level data across all point-of-sales (POS) and back-office systems. This includes pricing, product descriptions, UPCs, vendor data, and promotional information. This role ensures that the correct product and pricing information is available to stores and customers, supporting accurate sales, margin analysis, and inventory control. The position works closely with purchasing, marketing, IT, and store operations teams. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·         The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary: 

·         Create, update, and maintain the price book for all products across all store locations 

·         Ensure item pricing, descriptions, departments, and vendor information are entered accurately in POS and inventory systems 

·         Manage product lifecycles: new item setup, price changes, promotions, and item deletions 

·         Coordinate with purchasing and marketing teams to ensure promotional pricing and sales events are correctly reflected in systems 

·         Audit and reconcile data discrepancies between vendors, systems, and store-level reporting 

·         Monitor and validate pricing compliance across stores to minimize pricing errors and customer dissatisfaction 

·         Assist with the onboarding of new vendors or products and the integration of new store locations into the price book system 

·         Generate reports for pricing accuracy, product movement, and margin analysis 

·         Maintain documentation of price book procedures and workflows 

·         Support stores and internal teams with troubleshooting pricing and item-level issues 

·         Perform regular system audits to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance 

·        Stay current with industry trends, product categories, and POS system capabilities 

 

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

 

·         To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

·         High school diploma or GED required, associate or bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, or related field preferred 

·         2+ years of experience in retail operations, data entry, pricing, or inventory systems preferred 

·         Experience with POS systems, inventory management software, or ERP systems (e.g., PDI, Retalix, SAP, NCR, Oracle) is highly desirable 

·         Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy 

·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications 

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

·         Excellent organizational and time management abilities 

·         Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. 

·        Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. 

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

 

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. 

Occasional travel to store locations may be required for audits or training. 

May require working extra hours during system updates, store openings, or promotional events. 

 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

 

Ability to sit for extended periods of working on a computer. 

Occasional lifting of supplies or files up to 25 lbs. 

Repetitive use of hands for data entry and document handling. 

 

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 

 

None required, though certifications in retail systems or inventory management software are a plus.
