Description:

As the Assistant General Manager at WSKY Stadium, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial and operational success of our tavern. Your primary responsibility will be nurturing the growth and development of our hourly team, ensuring their complete comprehension of WSKY Taverns' operational standards, policies, and procedures. It's essential that you lead by example to demonstrate these standards effectively. You will be responsible for assembling a team that consistently delivers prompt guest recognition and satisfaction, maintains service excellence, interprets and acts upon gaming reports, and takes ownership of increasing gaming, food, and liquor sales while upholding established cost-of-goods goals. Proficiency in the Toast POS System is required, and you will be responsible for establishing and managing product levels, maintaining the building's appearance, equipment functionality, and compliance with OSHA, Health District, and Clark County regulations. A comprehensive understanding of Gaming Compliance is crucial.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise all aspects of gaming, high-volume restaurant, and banquet operations.
  • Ensure all beverage and staffing needs are met for all Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Collaborate with the Leadership, Executive Chef and Group Dining Manager to plan and execute menus for large groups.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of Front-of-House team members.
  • Assist and guide the Front-of-House team in service, beverage preparation, menu creation, and overall guest experience.
  • Manage the fiscal budget, striving to meet or exceed all budgetary requirements.
  • Prioritize the Guest Experience, ensuring every guest enjoys a distinct and tailored experience.
  • Supervise banquet operations from setup to teardown, providing support to the Catering Manager as needed.
  • Meet regularly with the Catering team to understand upcoming events, review budgets and sales goals, and explore opportunities for new business.
  • Ensure compliance with Health Department, Gaming, and TAM regulations throughout operational hours.
  • Coach, counsel, and enforce company standards among team members.
  • Become proficient in the Point of Sales system and other restaurant software.
  • Handle beverage ordering and maintain par levels.
  • Fulfill any additional responsibilities within the scope of the job description.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: 2 to 3 years of Gaming experience.
  • Preferred: 3 to 5 years of local Gaming Management experience.
  • Preferred: 2 to 4 years of large group and/or banquet experience.
  • Preferred: 3 to 5 years of F&B management experience in a high-volume setting.
  • Must have open availability, able to work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
  • Knowledge of general gaming tavern operations, personnel management, food and beverage planning, purchasing, par levels, daily and monthly inventory, sanitation and health codes, and security.
  • Preferred: Understanding of Profit and Loss Statements.
  • Familiarity with Konami Gaming, restaurant management software, and POS systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operating costs in accordance with budgets.
  • Honesty and integrity, both in and outside the workplace.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain food handler’s certification card, TAM, and Non-Gaming Card.
  • Computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs.

  • Ensure staff adheres to all food control and safety regulations.
  • Create employee schedules based on expected customer numbers.
  • Monitor liquor costs versus sales to ensure bar profitability.
  • Collaborate with liquor vendors to develop new products or promotions for the bar.
  • Establish and uphold standards for safe food handling, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Negotiate with vendors, order supplies, manage inventories, and budgets.

Supervisory Responsibilities:                                       

This position will oversee the Front of House Team.

Travel Requirements:                                         

Reliable transportation is required.

Language Sills:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and communicate verbally in English. Written communication skills in in English may also be required.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
