The Market Development Manager will play a critical role in scaling Terra Energy’s operations across current and future markets. This role is focused on building the operational foundation required to successfully launch, stabilize, and grow new territories while improving processes across existing markets.
This position is not responsible for direct field team management (installers, electricians, or crew leads). Instead, the role is centered on market strategy, operational systems, cross-functional enablement, and long-term scalability.
Market Expansion & Strategy
Support operational setup and growth in new and existing markets (starting with Texas and expanding into future states such as California).
Act as a subject matter expert on jurisdictional and utility-specific requirements across markets.
Develop scalable frameworks for entering and stabilizing new markets.
Operational Infrastructure
Build and maintain a centralized database of jurisdictional, permitting, inspection, and utility requirements.
Establish standardized third-party inspection processes and inspection readiness protocols.
Design and document operational playbooks for market launches.
Process & Systems Development
Support the full sale-to-install lifecycle through process optimization and training materials.
Support standardized inspection and PTO (Permission to Operate) training programs.
Track and analyze KPIs related to market performance, inspection outcomes, and operational efficiency.
Vendor & Partner Enablement
Evaluate, onboard, and manage external partners and vendors, including potential design and engineering agencies.
Support international vendor relationships (e.g., Philippines-based teams) to expand internal capabilities.
Scalability & Enablement
Identify bottlenecks and risks in market operations and implement scalable solutions.
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, Design, and Operations to ensure smooth market execution.
Build repeatable systems that allow Terra Energy to grow efficiently without increasing operational complexity.
