Job Description:

Position Title:                                    Territory Sales Manager

Location:                                            Remote in Tennessee

Reporting to:                                     Regional Sales Manager

Open to Relocation:                         No

Travel Required:                               75%

This role is responsible for driving market growth and increasing Terex Utilities presence in the Tennessee area, focusing specifically on insulated digger derricks and aerial devices for public power utility customers. The preferred location for the successful candidate to be based is in Tennesse area. This is a home-based role, with an anticipation of up to 75% travel (3 out of 4 weeks per month is spent travelling to customer sites).

Sales include hydraulic and electrical repairs to construction and industrial equipment including Terex and identified other brands. This role will develop service sales objectives, manage performance, and develop marketing programs. This position will be responsible for the delivery of annual revenue targets in the assigned territory in conjunction with Terex Services branch management.

What you'll do

  • Market Share Growth: Expand Terex’s footprint across Tennessee by capturing new accounts and growing existing relationships, particularly within the public power segment.
  • Sales Tools Utilization: Effectively manage pipeline, forecasting, and account activities using Oracle, Salesforce, and other Terex sales enablement tools.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts such as KUB, Duck River, Meriwether-Lewis, CEMC , and TVA.
  • Strategic Selling: Align product offerings with customer needs by understanding utility-specific challenges and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with the Terex Service team to ensure post-sale support, customer satisfaction, and lifecycle value delivery.
  • Territory Management: Regular travel throughout the assigned territory to conduct in-person meetings, equipment demos, and fleet evaluations.

  • Highest level of integrity.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to travel 3 out of 4 weeks each month

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 4+ years of experience in a sales role
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Engineering
  • Needs to be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report as driving is part of the position
  • Salesforce.com experience
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in new business development, product marketing, and sales
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships, prepare and deliver formal presentations, and negotiate sales
  • Advanced written communication skills to prepare proposals and business correspondence
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills to develop sales strategies
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong time management skills
  • Proficiency with Terex and Genie products (Utility and/or AWP products)
  • Demonstrate proper techniques of prospecting, telemarketing, closing techniques, and quotation and specification writing
  • Ability to drive the territory during normal work hours
  • Occasional extended overnight trips will be necessary
  • Needs to be comfortable operating all types of construction and industrial equipment

Salary: The compensation range for this position is $100k - $115k annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
