About this role

Job Description:

Role Purpose:

To manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of spare parts and components for construction equipment, ensuring optimal inventory levels, accuracy, and timely availability to support operations and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate stock records for all parts and components.
  • Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels; initiate replenishment as required.
  • Conduct periodic stock audits and cycle counts.

Receiving & Issuance

  • Oversee incoming parts verification against purchase orders.
  • Ensure proper documentation for receipts and dispatches.
  • Coordinate timely issuance of parts to service teams and workshops.

Vendor Coordination

  • Liaise with suppliers for timely delivery and quality compliance.
  • Handle discrepancies in quantity or quality with procurement and vendors.

System & Compliance

  • Update ERP/Inventory Management System regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Team Management

  • Supervise store personnel and allocate tasks effectively.
  • Train team on inventory handling and safety protocols.

Reporting

  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports.
  • Highlight slow-moving and obsolete items for action.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of spare parts for construction equipment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Good communication and vendor management skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or Supply Chain Management.
  • 4–6 years of experience in stores/inventory management in construction equipment or heavy machinery industry.
