Opportunity Overview

We are searching for a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Quality Engineering (QE) team, ensuring the reliability and performance of software products within the Integrated Systems Test (IST) division. This Level 1 management role requires a shift from direct individual contribution to a focus on developing team members, shaping engineering practices, and building a long-term quality strategy.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Manage, coach, and develop a team comprising QE and Software Engineers. Establish clear expectations and define growth paths for team members.
  • Quality Engineering Strategy: Define test automation frameworks and oversee their implementation across IST products.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish, track, and report quality metrics, including defect containment, automation coverage, and test reliability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product Management, System Architecture, Software Development, and Hardware Engineering teams.
  • Hiring & Team Expansion: Lead inclusive and structured hiring processes to support team growth and diversity.

  • At least 3 years of leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years in software development or quality engineering roles.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, DevOps practices, and tools such as Jenkins, Git, and JIRA.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, or Python.
  • Background in semiconductor test or automation equipment.
  • Experience in quality modernization initiatives.

 

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $165,700 - $265,200.
 This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

 

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
