Opportunity Overview

We are looking for a highly-motivated, energetic, technically driven Engineer to provide world class support to the current and future generations of IST Products. This role is enabled by an in-depth knowledge of IST product offerings coupled with a desire to provide timely solutions across an evolving customer landscape. The IST Product Support Engineer role is a dynamic and challenging global support opportunity that spans an array of engineering disciplines.

  • Represent PS Engineering as a core team member on both existing and new products
  • Collaborate with the field team, engineering (SW, ME and HW), product support engineering and repair operation regarding field issues and escalations in both the field and contract manufacturer
  • Lead and project management on field upgrades and NR projects
  • Analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve the reliability of our systems.
  • Collaborate with design engineering on design in serviceability (DFS)
  • Develop a Field Replaceable Unit (FRU) strategy
  • Support system installation and work with install coordinator on required tools, resources, etc.
  • Assist in creating and reviewing support documents
  • Create and provide Product Training Documents together with our Techn Writer

  • Degree required: Bachelors of Science in Engineering (MFG/ME/EE), Electromechanical preferred
  • Minimum 3 years Relevant Industry Experience desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and team player
  • Critical thinking and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Technical Areas: Electromechanical, Embedded, Networking
  • Product Support and automation experience is preferred
  • Storage Test, System Level Test or Semiconductor testing experience
  • Experienced in Technical Project Management
  • Travel expectations to Customer sites, Cebu and North reading.

 

We are only considering candidates local to position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.
