Opportunity Overview 

The IST DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for embedding security best practices throughout the Integrated System Test (IST) Group’s software development and delivery lifecycle. This role ensures that applications, infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and development workflows adhere to securebydesign principles. The DevSecOps Engineer will partner closely with software engineering and IT teams to automate security testing, enforce policy, and improve the overall security posture—without impacting delivery. 

 

All About You 

  • Ability to independently manage and execute assigned tasks. 

  • 2+ years supporting multitier applications in a DevOps or similar engineering capacity. 

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience writing Python and/or PowerShell within Agile development teams. 

  • Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts; experience with GitLab CI is a strong plus. 

  • Familiarity with security scanning tools and practices, including SAST and SCA. 

  • Ability to design and implement workflows for vulnerability detection, triage, and remediation. 

  • Strong documentation skills, including preparation of technical data, procedures, and reports. 

  • Demonstrated curiosity, strong critical thinking, and a drive for continual learning. 

  • Experience working with containerized applications (e.g., Docker). 

  • Application Security Testing 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer ScienceSoftware Engineering, or a related technical field. 

 

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $73,100 - $117,000. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
