Maintenance Manager EMEA Job Overview

As a Maintenance Manager EMEA, you will oversees facility upkeep, equipment reliability, and safety compliance across multiple locations within EMEA territory, analyzes maintenance programs, manages budgets, and provides technical leadership to on-site teams to ensure operational efficiency

Maintenance Manager EMEA:

  • Is a core team member of the EMEA Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Leadership Team, proving strategic insights for maintenance function/ programs/ budgets
  • Sets up a comprehensive maintenance strategy for developing processes, systems, procedures, and IT tools along with a deployment plan to improve maintenance performance across the regional units
  • Guides upper management in maintenance performance and strategic direction for regional OE Braking
  • Works with AME to determine key equipment standard requirements to support/incorporate predictive and planned maintenance warning systems
  • Determine the approach towards regional maintenance capex requirements and maintain the 3 to 5yr forecast of potential spend and improvement opportunities
  • Oversees maintenance operations, budgets, and capital planning for multiple facilities
  • Develops a maintenance maturity assessment to assess the plants’ level of adoption and provides clear visibility of gaps and improvement activities required site by site
  • Implement standardization and continuous improvement of the maintenance process with the plants, integrated alongside the TME-VS standards
  • Act as the liaison for maintenance in the production sites to share best practices and drive regional standardization for autonomous, unplanned, planned and predictive maintenance processes
  • Oversees maintenance operations, budgets, and capital planning for multiple facilities
  • Develops a maintenance maturity assessment to assess the plants’ level of adoption and provides clear visibility of gaps and improvement activities required site by site
  • Implement standardization and continuous improvement of the maintenance process with the plants, integrated alongside the TME-VS standards
  • Act as the liaison for maintenance in the production sites to share best practices and drive regional standardization for autonomous, unplanned, planned and predictive maintenance processes
  • Participates in the new equipment launch project teams to ensure proper technical requirements and spares packages are captured prior to equipment order and confirmed through pre-acceptance and final acceptance milestones so all aspects of maintenance procedures and processes are built in from the start-up; supports Process ME experts to close all open disputes with project team related to maintenance aspects of new equipment introduction

Education Level & Type, Experience and Competences Requiered for the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, method / process, mechanical or manufacturing engineering background preferred.
  • Management experience and background in automotive industry or capital intensive industry is an advantage.
  • At least 10 years management experience in Manufacturing and/or Maintenance Engineering roles. (Friction background is preferable but not essential);
  • English communication skill is mandatory
  • Ability to take ownership on projects
  • Adaptable and a good team player with demonstrable leadership skills
  • Demonstration of appropriate communication skills across all levels
  • Able to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Problem solver with a methodical approach and an eye for detail

Level of experience:

  • Experience and demonstrable capability in e-Maintenance Systems, CMMS and related processes & tools.
  • Experienced in leading maintenance teams in a high pace manufacturing environment.
  • Track record of success working within and across functional teams, in driving change and implementing new processes to significantly improve process efficiencies in manufacturing.
  • Experience in working in a matrix environment, as well as managing multiple priorities and provide appropriate communication skills.
  • Success in managing multiple, complex projects and changing priorities, making sound decisions and working effectively in a highly technical, team-oriented environment.
  • Understanding of ISO16949 Quality Management System related to Maintenance requirements, Lean expertise & Black Belt certified would be preferable. High practical knowledge in using Six Sigma (additional advantage).
  • Lean manufacturing/ Six sigma /Blackbelt / Lean Expert is an advantage.             

The ideal candidate for this position has excellent organizational skills, can work well under pressure, has strong attention to detail, is accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment and meeting tight deadlines.
