Temple University's School of Medicine is searching for a Part-Time Lab Assistant!
Salary Range: $22.44/hr.

Position Summary:
Reporting to PIs in the Center for Neurovirology and Gene Editing, the part-time lab assistant provides generally non-technical support to the research lab.
Job Details:
This is a grant funded position
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum of one year of relevant experience
Required Skills and Abilities:
Experience and knowledge of laboratory equipment required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of applicable computer software.
Essential Duties:
Operating autoclave
Washing and sterilizing buffers, drying supplies & tools
Placing orders for CO2 and LN2, monitoring and changing CO2 tanks for incubators and liquid nitrogen tanks for cryofreezers
Monitoring and changing glass wash bins
Packaging glove trash from laboratory for biohazard waste removal
Arranging for hazardous chemical removal pickups.
Performs other duties as assigned
