The Principal Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's core infrastructure. Under minimum supervision, implements mid to large scale complex infrastructure projects. Assesses, designs, implements, troubleshoots, and supports a wide range of infrastructure technologies including Traditional Unix, Linux and Windows Operating systems, Enterprise Block and File Storage, Brocade Storage Area Networks, Virtualization, and Backup technologies.
This role requires three days on-site (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) at Temple Health Womens and Families Hospital.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field Required or
Combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree Required
Experience
10+ years experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise Infrastructure Required
General Experience and knowledge working with Infrastructure, infrastructure monitoring, and management tools Required
General Experience with problem, change, and incident management. A track record of working through complex problems with both internal and external resources to deliver prompt and effective solutions Preferred
General Experience and knowledge of infrastructure interactions, dependencies, and best practices Preferred
General Experience Proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting infrastructure devices (physical and virtual) including servers, storage, SAN switches, backup technologies, virtualization, and operationalizing them using best practices Preferred
General Experience Strong understanding of infrastructure principles and best practices, including security, identity management, high performance environments, high availability, scalability, future planning, and building highly reliable and redundant infrastructure Preferred
