The Consumer Capital Governance Team’s intent is to maximize business returns and customer experience improvements through holistic investment management. Our team is a great place to realize personal growth and work with a team that has a large impact on TELUS Consumer Solutions’ (TCS) success. Within our team, you will be utilizing your collaboration and strategic skills to manage TCS Capital Expenditure (CAPEX), build meaningful relationships with our stakeholders to ensure we are continuously optimizing this scarce resource
 

What you’ll do:

 

As a Strategy Manager, you will:

 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand end-to-end CAPEX drivers and work on programs to drive efficiencies
  • Investigate various CAPEX spend trends and forecast using data sources including CAPEX per gross add, labour and hardware spend, gross add data and sales order data
  • Build a CAPEX forecast and complete month-end activities for TCS
  • Understand and divide complex and ambiguous business issues into manageable pieces
  • Help drive our business forward by creating a meaningful understanding of business drivers, issues and opportunities while enjoying a high degree of autonomy
  • Take the initiative to constantly and consistently apply your relationship skills to support the Consumer Capital Governance Team
  • Perform deep-dives of capital spend for different time periods for governance and audit compliance
  • Have the opportunity to showcase your ability to transform data through data visualization and verbal communication into true business insight

  • You have exceptional business proficiency, which you apply to interpret data, expect business outcomes through modeling. You logically extend this to the establishment of outcome measurement methodologies
  • You leverage your communications skills to effectively distill your learnings and communicate compellingly based on your audience
  • Excellent analytical, business modelling, problem-solving, and synthesis skills
  • Experience with problem-solving frameworks to breakdown and simplify complex, ambiguous problems
  • Proven ability to turn information into insight and present recommendations to senior team members
  • Ability to establish cross-functional alignment for projects and initiatives
  • Experience with managing small-to-mid-sized projects from end to end
  • 3+ years of Business experience and University degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications

  • CPA or CFA designation
  • Previous Telecommunications experience
