Our team and what we’ll accomplish together

Our team is on a mission to improve mental health care outcomes by developing cutting-edge AI tools. We operate in an agile, innovative, and mission-driven culture that is highly collaborative.

You will be working alongside a diverse group of experts in psychiatry, AI, and technology in a highly collaborative environment. We encourage innovation and are at the forefront of applying AI in healthcare. We also provide ample opportunities for learning, growth, and professional development, allowing you to gain valuable experience in AI development, medical research, and data science.

We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join our innovative team building an AI-powered clinical decision support tool that will transform how family doctors approach mental health diagnosis and treatment. This is a unique opportunity to bridge healthcare expertise with cutting-edge AI technology, directly impacting patient care and physician effectiveness.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in shaping the intelligence behind our agentic system—developing the clinical knowledge base, rules, and evaluation frameworks that ensure our AI delivers accurate, clinically sound recommendations. You'll work at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and quality management, helping to build a tool that family physicians can trust with their patients' mental health.

What You'll Do

Knowledge Development & Clinical Intelligence

  • Collaborate with clinical experts, including our leader Dr. Diane McIntosh, to develop and refine clinical knowledge, rules, and decision pathways for the agentic AI system
  • Translate complex clinical guidelines and best practices into structured formats that feed our AI models
  • Continuously research and incorporate emerging mental health treatment protocols and evidence-based practices

Evaluation & Quality Management

  • Design and implement comprehensive evaluation frameworks to assess system performance, clinical accuracy, and user experience
  • Execute human evaluation studies, including coordinating with clinicians to validate AI recommendations
  • Analyze evaluation results and translate findings into actionable improvements for the product and development teams
  • Establish and monitor quality metrics that ensure clinical safety and efficacy (note: this is not a QA testing role)

Agile Product Development

  • Work closely with the Product lead, product managers, and development team to define requirements and user stories
  • Serve as the bridge between clinical expertise and technical implementation
  • Participate actively in the agile development process, maintaining clear communications and documentation (Jira and Confluence)
  • Champion innovation and contribute creative solutions to complex clinical-technical challenges

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in healthcare or health technology
  • Essential healthcare experience with strong understanding of clinical workflows and medical terminology
  • Good knowledge of AI systems and agentic architectures
  • Experience working in a highly collaborative, agile development team
  • Proficiency with Jira and Confluence
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with ability to translate between clinical and technical stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced environment

Great-to-haves

  • Knowledge of family practice and primary care workflows
  • Experience with mental health diagnosis and treatment protocols
  • Background in clinical decision support systems or health informatics
  • Experience designing evaluation frameworks or conducting user research in healthcare settings
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and clinical safety requirements
  • Bilingualism is an asset

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
