Focus of the Role

To design, build and support service assurance capabilities as a part of high performance software engineering team. ServiceNow Developer role involves designing, developing, and implementing various ServiceNow modules such as Customer Service Management, Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, CMDB, ITAM, and Service Catalog workflows

What You’ll Do  

  • Develop, Deploy and improve specific technologies and their interaction with Telstra processes and systems to deliver products and services to customer business units.
  • Achieve a well-defined, functioning, and repeatable set of key business, with product owners and technology processes to ensure consistent quality is maintained.
  • Perform application performance, load analysis and assist in capacity planning as required to support the solution.
  • Peer Review and integrate all application requirements, including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations requirements.
  • Learn new technologies quickly and able to implement the same.
  • Technology Assessments and Estimation of new features
  • Participate into Technology POCs and technical forums to share knowledge.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
  • Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer with 3+ years' experience and a strong portfolio.
  • Hands on Experience in ServiceNow and having good knowledge of Integrations.
  • ServiceNow (ITSM): Incident, Problem and Change Management
  • ServiceNow – Integrations
  • ServiceNow Administration
  • ServiceNow Implementation
  • ServiceNow Portal
  • Hands on Experience on Flow designer and Custom Scoped Applications.
  • ServiceNow Component - Script includes, client scripts, scheduled jobs, Business rules, UI policies, UI actions, Update set, Import set
  • Back-end: REST, JSON, Java, XML, XSLT
  • Front-end: angular.js, ServiceNow JavaScript, Splunk
  • Continuous integration and deployments with test automation, feature branching using Bamboo, Git, Jira
  • Integrating ServiceNow with other Applications using Web-Services APIs e.g. REST and Microservices

Desirable Skills:

  • Different concepts of ITIL, ITSM Modules
  • Develop 3rd Party Application/System integration with ServiceNow.
  • Develop the customized portal web pages in ServiceNow.
  • Integration Hub, ServiceNow AI (Generative/Agentic)
  • Good to have knowledge on NewRelic and CI/CD tools
  • Build reusable components (update sets, applications, etc.) that can be leveraged by multiple business in the ServiceNow ecosystem.
  • Perform risk assessments and testing of periodic ServiceNow product upgrades to ensure ongoing stability of the platform.
