The Change Senior Specialist will collaborate with leaders to strategize change plans, conduct impact assessments to understand how changes affect individuals, and create detailed change and communication plans. You will oversee the implementation of these strategies, ensuring sustainable integration, and manage the end-to-end process from planning through embedding changes into routine operations.

About the Role

As a Change Senior Specialist, you will design, develop, execute, and report on change management plans for Telstra. Your interpersonal skills will help you engage with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver change initiatives on time and within budget. Your role is crucial in ensuring a positive experience for our customers and business.

As a Change Senior Specialist, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering change management strategies that drive adoption, minimize disruption, and maximize business success.

This is a 6-month fixed-term opportunity.

Your key responsibilities include:

Strategic Change Management & Delivery 

  • Develop and implement end-to-end change management strategies to ensure successful adoption and realization of business benefits. 
  • Leverage expertise in change management methodologies to identify interdependencies, risks, and resource requirements, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks. 
  • Provide input into business case development, impact assessments, and stakeholder management plans to define and drive change outcomes. 

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Readiness 

  • Identify and mitigate business risks and impacts, collaborating with stakeholders to develop and execute transition plans. 
  • Engage and influence stream leads to facilitate transition activities and ensure smooth implementation of changes. 
  • Ensure effective business integration across large-scale or multi-year programs, supporting operational readiness and sustained adoption. 

Continuous Improvement & Reporting 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance effectiveness, productivity, and business performance. 
  • Establish clear milestones, goals, and reporting mechanisms to track change management activities and measure success. 
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in change management, integrating best practices to enhance organizational agility. 

About You:

To be successful in the role, you must have a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to drive transformational change. You have expertise in: 

  • Change Management & Transformation – Deep understanding of at least one globally recognized change management framework (e.g., PROSCI, CMI, APMG) and experience leading end to end change from small projects to large transformational programs.  
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering – Proven ability to engage and influence C-suite executives, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to drive alignment and adoption. 
  • Strategic & Impact Analysis – Skilled in impact analysis, risk assessment, training needs analysis, and cost-benefit analysis (CBA) to support data-driven decision-making. 
  • Training & Communication – Strong background in training design, coupled with exceptional communication skills to effectively articulate change initiatives and business impacts.
