The Role

As an Automation Engineer, you thrive on solving complex problems and streamlining processes. Your investigative skills will be put to the test as you design and implement automation solutions that reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to ensure systems and workflows are optimised, delivering value to our customers and supporting reliable network and infrastructure performance.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and passionate Automation Engineer to join our team.


Key responsibilities

  • Design and implement automation solutions to replace manual processes across security and IT operations.

  • Develop scripts and integrations (e.g., Python, YAML, REST APIs) to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.

  • Convert Splunk logs into dashboards and create automated reporting solutions.

  • Collaborate with SMEs and team members to identify automation opportunities and deliver scalable solutions.

  • Apply ITIL principles to incident, problem, and change management processes.

  • Work within enterprise environments to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Essential Experience

  • Strong automation and scripting/development skills (language/tool agnostic).

  • Proven ability to convert manual processes into automated workflows.

  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes, including incident and problem management.

  • Experience working in enterprise environments with structured processes.

  • Familiarity with Splunk or similar tools for log analysis and dashboard creation.

  • Nice to have: Network/IP experience and exposure to security engineering.

  • Experience in working with Operations team in Production.
