We’re looking for a Junior Database Administrator to join us at Telia.

I’m Saulius Pačėsa, Head of SAP Basis & Oracle DBA Teams, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on ensuring reliable Oracle and PostgreSQL database operations, performance optimization, and smooth migrations for mission-critical systems.

What you’ll do:

You’ll be responsible for Telia and Telia business customers Oracle (mainly) & PostgreSQL (minor part) databases. You will:

• Cover daily operations, ensure around-the-clock availability and safeguard the databases through regular patching.

• Make sure regular refreshments of non-production environments are performed.

• Participate in project activities such as eliminating toil, upgrades and migrations.

What will help you thrive in this role: 

We are looking for someone with a collaborative mindset, eagerness to learn, share knowledge, and ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment. You should also have:

• Basic understanding of Linux OS and related infrastructure services (monitoring, backup, automation).

• Familiarity with database administration principles, advantage if it’s with Oracle or PostgreSQL DB.

• Hands-on experience in administering IT services within an operational environment.

• Ability to analyze and solve problems, make sound decisions, and follow established guidelines.

• Proficiency in both Lithuanian and English (written and spoken form).

Monthly salary range for this position - 2000 - 3000 Eur (gross) + annual performance bonus. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
