We’re looking for a Data Engineer & Owner - Telia Mobil to join us at Telia.

We are seeking a data engineer to join and further strengthen our Commercial Development organization. You will be part of a forward-looking and high-impact analytics team focused on winning in the consumer market through data-driven, customer-centric innovation.
 

Consumer Analytics is a strategically critical function consisting of a specialized team of ten highly skilled professionals, including data engineers, data scientists, martech engineers, and data analysts. The team plays a central role in shaping the commercial agenda by delivering advanced insights, predictive models, and decision support that enable sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
 

What you’ll do:

As Data Engineer & Owner you will be managing all the customer data relevant to our Telia mobile brand in the consumer market in the Consumer Analytics team. This is a "Builder" role in a greenfield setting where you will own the end-to-end data lifecycle for the Telia Mobil brand. You aren't just maintaining pipelines, you are designing the standards and structures that define how our biggest brand understands its performance.

• Own and develop a data domain: design and structure the domain (concepts, entities, definitions, datasets, and data products) to ensure it supports commercial use cases and insight needs.

• Manage domain evolution and change: establish governance routines for onboarding new data, handling change requests, versioning, documentation, and lifecycle management.

• Secure high-quality data delivery: collaborate closely with IT/engineering teams to ensure data is properly ingested/routed into the domain with robust quality controls, validation, and monitoring.

• Enable self-service and adoption: work with commercial stakeholders to translate business needs into usable datasets and insights, improving accessibility and enabling self-service analytics.

• Ensure trust and usability: drive consistent definitions/metrics, improve data discoverability, and ensure domain outputs can be used reliably for reports, insights, and decision-making.

What will help you thrive in this role:

• Technical Seniority: 3+ years in Data Engineering delivering high-scale data products (Telecom/Finance/SaaS).

• Modern Stack Mastery: Hands-on expertise in Python, Snowflake and Advanced SQL, using dbt for transformations and Airflow for orchestration.

• Data Mesh & Domain Thinking: Knowledge of Data Mesh principles, ability to structure a domain and treat "Data as a Product."

• Engineering Standards: Experience with GitHub for version control and establishing "ways of working" (CI/CD, standards) from the ground up.

• Data Quality Ops: Practical experience with data observability, automated reconciliation, and anomaly detection.

• Stakeholder & Self-Service: Ability to act as a "Technical Lead" for commercial teams, building semantic layers and metric definitions.

• Governance & Privacy: Familiarity with metadata management, data lineage, and "privacy-by-design" structures (GDPR).

• Data Modeling (Nice to have): Expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical modeling (Kimball, Star Schema, or Data Vault).
