Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer / Systems Architect to lead a major Exchange Server upgrade project. The ideal candidate will act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), owning the technical direction and execution of an upgrade from Exchange Server 2019 to Exchange Server 2025. This is a hands-on, project-driven role requiring advanced expertise and the ability to make architectural recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute the full lifecycle of an Exchange 2019 → Exchange 2025 upgrade.
• Serve as the primary SME for the project, providing strategy, guidance, and best practices.
• Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to plan, design, and implement solutions.
• Work independently to determine the most effective tools, methodologies, and automation approaches (e.g., PowerShell, etc.).
• Support and troubleshoot issues across the Microsoft ecosystem as needed.

Required Experience

• Expertise with Microsoft O365
• Strong experience with Azure
• Experience supporting large-scale VDI environments
• Advanced-level experience in systems engineering or architecture roles
• Proficiency in Windows systems, hardware, imaging, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with VMware, Horizon, and enterprise support environments
• Ability to provide project-level recommendations and lead implementation efforts

This is a Contract position based out of Melbourne, FL.

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Melbourne,FL.
