What we're looking for: A cloud-focused Solution Architect who has deep experience designing modern systems in Amazon Web Services (AWS). This person must understand how today’s cloud-native, serverless architectures are built—meaning they should be comfortable with concepts like event-driven design and using services such as AWS Lambda, EventBridge, API Gateway, and other fully managed cloud components. We also need someone who has strong experience designing APIs that allow different systems to communicate smoothly and securely. A key part of this role is integrating our technology with major SaaS platforms such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, or Adobe Experience Manager, so the candidate should be able to talk about how they’ve connected cloud systems to external tools or platforms in the past. Overall, think of this person as a senior architect who knows how modern applications are built in the cloud, understands the patterns behind serverless systems, and has a track record of building solid API and integration solutions across multiple platforms.

Job Description:

Our customer is modernizing its agent-centric digital platforms and operating model. We are evolving from a primarily .NET/C# legacy estate to cloud-native, event-driven, serverless-first architectures on AWS, with a strong preference for TypeScript/Node across new services. This role will drive SaaS-first, API-first design, embed AI-enabled engineering practices into delivery, and help us rapidly elevate agent and customer digital experiences across recruiting, onboarding/licensing, training, practice growth, and compensation.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)

• Set the architecture runway for our customers “digital excellence” transformation—aligned to agent recruiting, onboarding/licensing, training/enablement, sales journeys, and compensation.

• Lead SaaS-first integration strategies (Salesforce, ServiceNow, AEM) and establish API-first design standards across the portfolio.

• Architect cloud-native solutions on AWS leveraging serverless (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, API Gateway), containers (ECS/EKS), data services (DynamoDB, Aurora, S3, Glue, Athena), and appropriate caching (CloudFront, Redis/ElastiCache).

• Define event-driven patterns for loose coupling, reliability, and scale; introduce contract testing, idempotency, and dead-letter strategies.

• Codify standards (reference architectures, ADRs, RFCs, architecture guardrails) and embed them into AI tools (Amazon Q Developer, GitHub Copilot) so they are discoverable at the point of work.

• Lead frontend architecture for agent/customer experiences using React/TypeScript and PWA patterns; ensure mobile-first, responsive design optimized for field productivity.

• Drive integration and orchestration via modern iPaaS; standardize patterns for SaaS connectivity, event enrichment, and process automation.

• Partner with data/ML teams to enable Python-based analytics/ML, real-time insights, and ML-in-the-loop experiences where applicable (e.g., recommendations, personalization).

• Establish security-by-design practices—zero trust, encryption everywhere, least-privilege IAM, secret management, and compliance automation (e.g., AWS Security Hub, IAM Access Analyzer).

• Champion DevSecOps: IaC (AWS CDK/Terraform), CI/CD, blue/green and canary deployments, automated testing and observability (OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, X-Ray, Datadog/New Relic).

• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and product leaders—turn agent/customer needs into platform capabilities and iterative roadmaps.

• Mentor engineers and solution teams on modern patterns, AI-enabled delivery, and pragmatic, outcome-focused engineering.

• Modernize smartly: Chart pragmatic migration paths from C#/.NET systems to cloud-native (AWS) services with event-driven and serverless patterns—without disrupting the business.

• Scale integrations: Establish SaaS-first strategies with Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) using modern iPaaS and secure, scalable APIs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, PA.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
