RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Certification and Accreditation (C&A) activities and the application of the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) in cloud environments.
• Apply and interpret NIST Special Publications, including NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-37 (current versions), to assess and manage cloud security risk.
• Independently identify, manage, and resolve cloud computing security risks across multiple cloud deployment and service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, hybrid, and derivatives).
• Assess cybersecurity controls and conduct C&A reviews for large, complex information systems hosted in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Apply cloud security best practices to protect data, applications, platforms, and infrastructure.
• Perform FedRAMP-aligned assessments of security and privacy controls within cloud information systems, covering the following domains:
  • Architectural Concepts & Design Requirements
  • Cloud Data Security
  • Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Security
  • Cloud Application Security
  • Operations
  • Legal & Compliance
• Provide expert guidance on security considerations for modern and dynamic computing environments, including hybrid computing, edge computing, cloud-native microservices, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies.
• Support DoD cybersecurity initiatives by ensuring cloud solutions comply with applicable policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

• Five (5) years of relevant Certification and Accreditation (C&A) experience.
• Demonstrated experience with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST C&A processes.
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) cybersecurity environments.
• Proven experience assessing cybersecurity controls and conducting C&A reviews for large, complex information systems.
• Experience with modern computing architectures, including hybrid computing, edge computing, and cloud-native microservices.
• Familiarity with networking protocols and/or standard Internet of Things (IoT) protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of FedRAMP assessment methodologies for cloud security and privacy controls.

Certifications

• Must hold a Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) Certification

Clearance

• Secret – IT-II (Tier 3) Non-Critical Sensitive Clearance.
