TITLE: FIELD CIVIL INSPECTOR
DEPARTMENT: QUALITY
REPORTS TO: SITE QUALITY MANAGER
JOB SUMMARY:
Performing complex inspections and supervision of the work on difficult quality problems at a site FEED/EPC Projects – often when needed in collaboration with a field engineer. Perform in coordination with subcontractors in-process and final inspections, field tests and maintain quality records related to civil activities including but not limited to site preparation, concrete foundation installation, structural backfill installation, structural steel and miscellaneous support installation, grouting installation to ensure that quality standards and process controls are being met throughout the field build process.
WORK PERFORMED:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Field civil works related experience, plus 5 - 10 years’ work experience in EPC Projects, preferably in the engineering construction or oil & gas industry.
Quality certifications are an advantage and knowledge/experience of continuous improvement methodologies are desired. Certificate or equivalent / technical background on the area i.e., ACI standards or ASQ inspection. A working knowledge of ACI/ASTM/ASCE/AISC/AWS/AASHTO/NFPA codes and standards relating to civil work
Working knowledge of construction standards, codes of practice and regulations/legislation relating to civil work, site preparation, roads, concrete and structural steel installation and others that may apply. Proficiency in use of measurement and calibrated tooling.
Experience with inspections and non-conformities management within ISO 9001 quality system.
