About this role
Key Responsibilities
- Own large features end-to-end — from design, development, testing, to deployment.
- Design for reliability and scale — write clean, efficient, and modular code with clear contracts.
- Deliver with accountability — plan, prioritise, and deliver features with minimal supervision.
- Solve real problems — debug complex issues across systems, not just within your codebase.
- Build securely — follow best practices around authentication, data integrity, and access control.
- Monitor & optimise — own your service dashboards, alerts, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with peers — work closely with product managers, frontend, and infra engineers.
- Contribute to reviews & standards — ensure quality through thoughtful code reviews and test coverage.
- Strong proficiency in Go or similar backend languages like Python with Fast API or even JAVA with Springboot .
- Experience designing RESTful APIs, working with AWS/ GCP, and using PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or SQS.
- Hands-on experience with microservices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerised environments (Docker/K8s).
- A solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design fundamentals.
- Comfort owning features, defining interfaces, and solving ambiguous problems end-to-end.
- A strong sense of code quality, observability, and operational ownership.
- Comfortable working in high-growth, fast-moving environments where scale and priorities evolve quickly.
