Job Description:

Are you an analytical thinker with a passion for transforming data and actuarial knowledge into actionable strategy?
We're looking for an Actuarial Analyst III to join our Data, Analysis, and Insight (DAI) team—a unique team of talented actuaries, business intelligence analysts, software engineers and data specialists that leverage cutting-edge technologies to deliver strategic tools and solutions across multiple business areas such as Marketing, Underwriting, Claims & Fraud Operations, Pricing, Product, Affinity Group Market and more.  In this role, your work will empower partners, inform high-impact decisions, and shape the future of TD Insurance.

This is more than a traditional actuarial role. You’ll be a key player in translating complex data and actuarial concepts into powerful applications and forward-thinking insights. Positions Overview

The DAI team is expanding and multiples roles are available within the team. Under the supervision of the manager the Actuarial Analyst II key responsibilities are as followed:

  • Support partners and colleagues by contributing to metrics definition and analysis to inform strategic actions.

  • Design and maintain tools that provide unified, real-time views of business areas, enabling smarter decisions.

  • Communicate results to colleagues and team members

  • Collaborate with colleagues to create scalable, innovative business solution

  • Participate in the forecast of key business metrics to support budget optimization.

  • Promote data integrity and accuracy through validation methods and clear documentation.

  • Share technical expertise and promote best practices.

Requirements & Skills

  • University degree in Actuarial Science or related field.

  • 2-4 years of related experience (including internships and part-time roles).

  • Bilingual in English and French (required).

  • Strong coding skills in SQL and Python.

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Shiny/Posit).

  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, especially for quality control and data validation.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and effective time management.
