Position Summary
The HR & Training Coordinator is an onsite, hands-on role responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources operations with a strong focus on onboarding, training coordination, and employee support. This role serves as a primary point of contact for employees at the site and plays a key role in delivering a positive employee experience from day one.
The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of HR experience, is approachable and people-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working independently while staying aligned with broader HR direction. This role is execution-focused and ideal for someone looking to grow their HR career in a fast-paced, operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Employee Experience
Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, including orientations, paperwork, system access, and training schedules
Serve as a welcoming onsite HR presence and first point of contact for employee questions
Ensure new hires have a smooth and compliant onboarding experience from offer acceptance through their first 90 days
Training & Development Support
Coordinate and track required training, certifications, and compliance-related learning
Schedule training sessions and support facilitators as needed
Maintain accurate training records and documentation
Assist with continuous improvement of onboarding and training materials
HR Administration & Compliance
Maintain employee records, files, and HR systems with accuracy and confidentiality
Support I-9 completion, E-Verify (if applicable), and document retention requirements
Assist with audits, reporting, and compliance documentation as needed
Support timekeeping, PTO tracking, and HRIS updates
HR Operations Support
Respond to routine HR inquiries and escalate issues appropriately
Support internal HR processes, policies, and communications
Assist with employee engagement initiatives and site-based HR activities
Work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating with HR leadership as needed
QualificationsQualifications
Required
2–4 years of experience in Human Resources, HR Operations, onboarding/training coordination, or a related role (3+ years preferred).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; approachable and professional
High level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage competing deadlines
Comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); HRIS experience a plus
Partner with managers to support new employee integration and training needs
Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple onboarding cycles per month in a fast-paced onsite environment.
Strong attention to detail with proven experience in maintaining audit-ready training and personnel documentation.
Preferred
Experience supporting onboarding and training programs
Exposure to compliance requirements (I-9, personnel files, training records)
Experience in manufacturing, operations, or multi-shift environments
HR certification coursework or interest in pursuing HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP)
Bilingual Spanish
Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or operations environments; regulated industry exposure is a plus.
Working knowledge of compliance documentation (I-9, personnel files, training records); E-Verify familiarity
