What can you expect in a “Payroll Lead” role with TaskUs:

• Supervise the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with Colombian labor and tax regulations.

• Oversee payroll changes (new hires, terminations, overtime, leaves, benefits, deductions) and validate complex cases.

• Ensure timely calculation and submission of social security contributions, parafiscal payments, and tax withholdings (PILA, SENA, ICBF, Cajas de Compensación, DIAN).

• Prepare, review, and deliver payroll reports for internal stakeholders, audits, and government authorities.

• Lead and mentor payroll team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements (if applicable), and corporate policies.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience in Colombia, including at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

• In-depth knowledge of Colombian labor law, payroll regulations, social security, and taxation.

• Experience with payroll software (SAP, Oracle, Workday, Novasoft, or similar).

• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively

• Intermediate to advanced English preferred.

• Experience in multinational or large-scale organizations is a strong plus.
