We are seeking a General Superintendent (Site Superintendent / Construction) to support our team at Anchor Management Group, experts in vertical construction and project management. Delivering end-to-end design-build capabilities for elite facilities, Anchor Management Group specializing in Feasibility Studies, Master Planning, Engineering, Design-Build, Pre-Construction, and Construction Management services.  The General Superintendent will be reporting to the Senior building superintendent and will be overseeing on-site construction multiple projects and activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring schedule adherence, safety compliance and resolving issues.

What you’ll do:

  • Reviewing construction documents in Precon phase for constructability, means and methods approach.

  • Creating project master and micro schedules, overseeing construction project progress to ensure it is following the established timeline.

  • Managing and coordinating the work of subcontractors and ensuring they meet their contractual obligations.

  • Ensuring adherence to building codes, safety standards, and legal requirements.

  • Resolving any issues or delays that may arise in the construction process.

  • Effective communication with project managers, architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.

  • Must be competent in coordinating site operations and able to oversee manpower & equipment on project sites.

  • OSHA 30 required

  • Travel as required – overnight possibility – Mid-Atlantic area    

What you need for success:

  • Experience: 7+ years’ experience in civil construction or a related bachelor’s degree.

    • Demonstrated experience and success running a $5 million plus civil construction project as Lead Superintendent.

    • 10 years' supervisory experience in civil construction (grading, trenching etc) or building operations (Superintendent).

  • Technical Skills: Highly proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

  • Software Proficiency: Microsoft Office suite. Proficiency in Microsoft Projects’ Scheduling software is a plus.

  • Required Experience: Bluebeam Revu and Procore

  • Leadership: Effectively guide and motivate on-site teams to ensure timely and quality project completion.

  • Problem-Solving: Quickly identify and resolve construction challenges to maintain project momentum.

  • Communication: Clearly convey information and collaborate with clients to ensure alignment and understanding.
