1st Shift Sample Maker - (Commercial)

About this role
PURPOSE OF JOB:
Process, make and ship samples accurately while meeting production standards.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Put up Sample Stock.
Run labels, Label Samples and pull Sample Orders.
Bevel Carpet.
Must enter shipments into SAP.
List and restock returns; Unpack boxes and sort samples.
Pull tile boxes weighing up to 50 lbs and stack on pallets for vendor shipments.
Must pull, pack and ship the required number of parcels per shift.
Other duties as instructed by the supervisor.
NEEDED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to operate an electric pallet jack.
Must be able to drive a Stand-Up Lift Truck.
Must be able to type.
Must lift and move tile boxes weighing 50 lbs.
Good reading and math skills.
Basic Computer skills (SAP).
Must work flexible hours.
Must have good communication skills and must be able to work independently.
Must be able to work overtime on short notice.
Must be able to demonstrate ability to work in and operate a high lift.
Must have had no written warnings (for any reason) in the last 18 months.
Must be willing to complete a 90 day probationary period.
This position requires extreme accuracy in product labeling and shipping. Past work history, attendance and accuracy will be given great consideration in choosing the candidate.
