Target Freight Management Inc. (TFM) is a well-established and rapidly growing third party logistics company headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA. We are seeking to fill a Web Developer position.

Job Summary and Responsibilities:

The Web Developer will develop, maintain, and support. TFM software applications and other custom solutions. Tasks include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
  • Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
  • Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
  • Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
  • Create and maintain software documentation
  • Respond to and resolve software related help desk tickets
  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
  • Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize web pages for security and responsiveness
  • Understand and use multiple programming languages to code
  • Review and test code submissions from other developer on the teams
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
  • Writing test cases for new and existing functionality
  • All other duties assigned by management
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on web development experience required
  • Experience using AI coding tools to assist with the development and testing
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of both customer and carrier’s organizations
  • Proven working experience in web programming
  • Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS
  • Experience with web-based programming languages such as PHP (preferred) or Python
  • Experience with ReactJS or comparable front end frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of relational database design, optimization, and SQL
  • A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
  • Working knowledge of relational database systems, Object Oriented Programming, and web application development
  • Ability to effectively diagnose application problems and demonstrate creative problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with automated back end testing tools such as PHPUnit
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
  • Effective communication skills are a must, as you will be expected to work with other team members not related to the IT department to work through fixes and enhancements on the site
