Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes
- Implement and support ML workflows and model data pipelines
- Work with large datasets in BigQuery and streaming data via Kafka
- Containerize applications and services using Docker
- Collaborate with ML engineers in Jupyter environments
- Optimize data storage, performance, and reliability
- Implement monitoring and observability using Datadog and Grafana
- Participate in CI/CD processes and deployment automation
Requirements
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Python Backend Engineer
- Strong Python skills (data processing, APIs, async basics)
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Solid knowledge of BigQuery and SQL optimization
- Experience with Kafka or other streaming systems
- Familiarity with ML data pipelines and model lifecycle support
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD and Docker
- Understanding of data quality, reliability, and performance best practices
Nice to Have
- Experience of supporting real-time or near-real-time ML systems
- Experience with various SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, etc.)
- Cloud cost optimization experience
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Datadog, Grafana)
- Orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow
