About this role

The Clinical Coordinator in Nursing is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care within the nursing department. This role involves coordinating clinical activities, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards, and supporting nursing staff in providing optimal patient outcomes. The Clinical Coordinator serves as a vital link between nursing staff, management, and interdisciplinary teams.

Essential Functions

  • · Overseeing nursing staff schedules, assignments, and workloads to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations.
  • · Ensuring high-quality patient care by collaborating with healthcare teams, reviewing patient progress, and addressing concerns.
  • · Ensuring nursing practices align with hospital protocols, regulations, and safety standards.
  • · Providing guidance, mentoring, and ongoing education to nursing staff to improve skills and ensure adherence to best practices.
  • · Working closely with physicians, department heads, and support staff to facilitate patient care and address any operational issues.
  • · Managing nursing supplies, equipment, and budget resources to maintain operational efficiency.


Education

  • Associate's Degree Nursing

License/Registration

  • Registered Nurse - Issued by Florida or Compact State

Certification

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association 
  • NIHSS 
  • Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association

Work Experience and Additional Information

  • Two (2) year in clinical nursing Two (2) years of supervisory experience
