This position will provide assistance with all Accounting and Financial Reporting functions, including monthly, quarterly, and year-end processes, and will assist all financial personnel in ensuring accurate presentation of the financial operations of the Consolidated Facilities. The incumbent will have knowledge of standard accounting principles and practices, and will have a demonstrated ability to interact, relate to, work with, and support the activities of all team members. Position serves in a support role to the Senior Accountant and Controller. Day-to-day accounting responsibilities include: Payroll, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Statistical Reporting, Financial Reporting, Month-End Close, Clinic Cash, Balance-Sheet Reconciliations, Cerner Download Oversight, and Capital Reporting.
Position reports to the Controller.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Related Field is required. |
Experience: Experience in health care finance is preferred, but other ancillary experience will be considered for relevancy. Must be proficient with ten-key calculator. Knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Power Point is needed. The ability to become familiar with the use of new computer applications is also required. General familiarity with the use of copier machines, facsimiles, and scanners is necessary. High attention to detail and accuracy is required in order to enforce proper accounting methods, along with evaluating accounting data for compliance and the proper application of accounting principles. |
