HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

 Your Role:

• Oversees and directs the Surgical Pre-Admission Clinic, Pre-Operative, and Phase II Recovery areas’ daily operations.
• Promotes a consistent, consolidated direction for providing perioperative nursing care in accordance with the nursing service’s philosophy and the hospital’s mission.
• Plans individually and collectively to determine nursing care’s future direction.
• Collaborates with clinicians to ensure systems are proper and adequate to support nursing, surgeons, and patient care.
• Demonstrates integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence (I CARE values).
• Communicates information timely via appropriate channels.
• Displays an understanding of diversity.
• Manages departmental budget.
• Meet goals/expectations established over the previous year.

Reports To: 

• SL [Service Line] Administrator Surgical Services

Supervises: 

• RN [Registered Nurse]/Nurse Manager 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

Required Experience:

• Five (5) years of relevant perioperative or pre-operative nursing leadership experience.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

• Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (F.S.), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) [includes multistate compact licensure].
