We are on a journey to build Veikkaus’ internal developer platforms using modern DevOps and platform engineering principles, aiming to continuously improve the developer experience across the organization. We are still early in this journey, which offers a unique opportunity to shape how the platform evolves.</span></p><p class="p2"><span class="s1">We are actively driving the platform engineering transformation inside Veikkaus. At the core of our modern DevOps vision is Spotify Backstage, which enables a true self-service model for developers and serves as the foundation of our internal developer platform. You’ll have a genuine opportunity to influence the direction, architecture, and adoption of the platform as we continue to scale and evolve it across Veikkaus.</span></p><p class="p2"><span class="s1">You’ll work in a team of 10 skilled developers and engineers, collaborating closely with Veikkaus development teams and other stakeholders to deliver robust, automated, and scalable platform solutions. You will also work hands-on with scalable cloud-based CI/CD pipelines and GitLab runner management, which are used daily by over 600 internal stakeholders.&nbsp;</span></p><p class="p2"><span class="s1">Looking ahead, scalability is a key focus area due to international and B2B opportunities, with several interesting projects planned for the coming year.</span></p><p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>You’ll succeed in this role if you have</strong></span></p><ul class="ul1"><li class="li1"><p><span class="s1">Experience in IDP development with Spotify Backstage</span></p></li><li class="li1"><p><span class="s1">Strong knowledge of Gitlab administration, runners and pipelines</span></p></li><li class="li1"><p><span class="s1">Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)</span></p></li><li class="li1"><p><span class="s1">Experience to use Terraform and Helm in production environment</span></p></li><li class="li1"><p><span class="s1">Availability to work from our office at least three times a week</span></p></li><li class="li1"><p><span class="s1">Scripting experiences (Bash and/or Python)</span></p></li><li class="li1"><p><span class="s1">Good written and spoken English skills</span></p></li></ul><p class="p1"><span class="s1"><strong>Seen as a plus</strong></span></p><ul class="ul1"><li class="li1"><p><span class="s1">Experience from software development, preferably Javascript frameworks</span></p></li><li class="li1"><p><span class="s1">Practical understanding of Agile development practices</span></p></li><li class="li1"><p><span class="s1">Experience from AI assisted work</span></p></li></ul><p class="p1"><span class="s1">You will operate in a fast-paced, agile environment where productization, automation, and scalability are key success factors.
