Takealot Group, South Africa’s leading online Retail / Delivery organisation, is looking for a highly talented Marketplace Operations Graduate to join our team in Cape Town. The Graduate Programme will be split between all businesses within the Group, namely: takealot.com, TFS and Mr D.

Requirements:


Qualifications & Experience:


Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.


The skills we need:



  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis

  • Basic knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma advantageous)

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key responsibilities:



  • Identify opportunities for process optimisation within marketplace operations

  • Conduct data analysis to support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Map current state processes and design future state improvements

  • Support implementation of process enhancements and monitor their effectiveness

  • Collect, analyse, and interpret marketplace performance data

  • Create reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators

  • Identify trends and patterns that inform improvement recommendations

  • Assist in planning and executing continuous improvement projects

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams on improvement initiatives

  • Document processes, procedures, and project outcomes

  • Support change management activities related to process improvements


This is a 12-month contract position.
