T2 Utility Engineers specializes in providing reliable underground and above-ground utility information to reduce the risks that utilities present for infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conduct surveys on land sites and properties
Examine previous records and evidence to ensure data accuracy
Research and design methods for survey processes
Build maps, sketches, and charts
Supervise and provide guidance to field staff
Report on survey results and present findings to clients
Provides overall management and direction for existing and new projects
Interfaces with clients to obtain work
Prepares work plans, assembles project team, delegates tasks and ensures compliance with scope and timely completion of tasks
Reviews and approves calculations submittals, specifications and other submittals
Reviews invoices and prepares/reviews progress reports to client
Oversees field personnel and office staff assigned to Survey related work
Initiates, prepares, reviews, and participates in proposals, rate & staff hour estimate preparation, and negotiations
Serves as representative of T2 at client meetings
Regularly interfaces with existing and potential clients to secure new assignments
Develops and maintains relationships with existing and new clients
Responsible for accuracy, timeliness, and financial performance of assigned projects
Establishes and maintains quality assurance plans and safety plans for assigned projects
Oversees all QA/QC functions to ensure accurate and high-quality deliverables to clients
Participates in the yearly Budget Forecast development, monthly operating review meetings and assists the Branch Manager in setting and meeting the financial performance goals of the branch office
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a surveyor or in a similar role
Working knowledge of GPS and conventional survey equipment with Trimble systems.
Experience working with Trimble Business Center (TBC)
Expenice with Bentley (ORD) and/or CAD (Civil 3D) preferred
Attention to detail
Great organizational and leadership skills
Valid PLS certificate is required
