Context
We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer, with a strong background in PMC roles for major railway projects, to oversee construction supervision and project management.
Missions/Main Duties
- Project Supervision:Oversee all aspects of site construction, including track works, bridges, and depot facilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and timely delivery.
- Quality Management:Implement and monitor quality assurance/control processes in accordance with international and client standards.
- PMC Scope Management:Act as the principal site representative for the PMC, interfacing with contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Progress Tracking:Monitor construction progress, resolve site issues, and ensure milestones are met.
- Technical Support:Advise on technical aspects related to railway infrastructure, including bridges and depot construction.
- Reporting:Prepare detailed progress reports, issue resolution documents, and technical submissions for client review.
- Health & Safety:Enforce strict safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness on site.
- Stakeholder Coordination:Liaise with client representatives, design consultants, and contractors to ensure coordinated delivery of works.
- Risk Management:Identify site risks early and propose effective mitigation actions.
Profile/Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Railway Engineering, or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience in railway project delivery
- Demonstrated success in PMC roles for major railway projects
- Extensive experience on-site in the Middle East (Saudi Arabia experience highly preferred)
- Prior involvement in construction of railway bridges, depots, and track works
- Sound knowledge of international railway standards and practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Professional Engineering registration/certification (preferred)
