In India, SYSTRA is an international consulting and engineering company operating in the fields of Metros, High Speed Rail, Railways, Roads, Buildings, Urban planning, and Water Infrastructure for public and private organizations.

CTR – Regional Technical Centre of Systra India takes care of the international production of major projects at Systra Group level. CTR team has expertise in design of High-Speed Rail, Metro, Conventional Rail, Bridges, Highways, Depots, Stations and Transport Planning. Starting from Feasibility/Concept stage to detailed design to IFC/Shop drawings, the disciplines involved have experience of designing in accordance with various international codes and delivered projects across the world.

CTR team has successfully delivered some major projects in UK, UAE, Tanzania, KSA, Australia, Canada and Denmark. One of the major achievements of India CTR team has been the design of HS2 project in UK. We played an instrumental role in delivering 3 major Sublots on HS2 with our teams proactively engaging with the front office in UK and delivering beyond client expectations. This resulted in India team receiving many accolades from the contractor BBV and client HS2. 

CTR team in India is proficient in working on multi-disciplinary projects integrating Design, BIM and Drawing production in a seamless workflow incorporating different software. The technical and management teams within CTR get an opportunity to work and interact with other CTR teams within Systra Group from Paris, Poland, Dubai, Philippines and Brazil.

Missions/Main Duties

• Take responsibility for Rail bridge design, Viaduct & Structure design.
• Having experience designing steel bridges and complex bridges.
• Assisting in the overall project management from conception to development and project completion
• Responsible for managing the Engineers of different ranks, liaising with sub-agencies and building relationship with clients, architects, consultants, contractors.
• Co-ordinating work between different disciplines.
• Prepare reports and calculations in line with International Codes of Practice (AREMA, AASTHO, EURO, BS).
• Plan and deliver bridge surveys and inspections including recording of all relevant information
• Can perform bridge assessment calculation and report.
• Manage delivery of projects – take responsibility for budget and resource deployment on projects.
• Take responsibility for project delivery to agreed budgets.
• Preparation of estimates for work items.
• Identify scope change items.
• Knowledge of working on big multidisciplinary projects on BIM.
• Coordinating work between different disciplines.
• Can prepare contractual claims arising out of any change in the contract conditions.
• Manage resources at a project level to ensure utilization and productivity is maintained
• Ensure compliance of the Systra Group policies, particularly on ethics, safety and adherence to company ISO standards.

Profile/Skills

• BE-Civil + M.Tech in Structural Engineering
• 10 to 13 years of experience in the relevant field.
• Experience with software like Sofistik, Midas, Open Bridge and Oasys.
• Actively working towards professional qualification.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary design team.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision and provide support and mentoring to others.
• Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices will be required.
