We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Security Operations Specialist to provide on-site personnel and physical security support in a fast-paced cleared facility supporting classified communications and programs. This role is critical to ensuring compliance with NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and internal security procedures, while enabling mission operations.


The ideal candidate is operationally focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while coordinately closely with corporate security and program teams. This position will also provide surge or rotational support to other cleared off-site facilities within the DC/VA vicinity.


Responsibilities

• Maintain clearances, visit requests, and personnel security records.
• Assist with the initiation, tracking, and maintenance of security clearance actions in DISS and other government systems.
• Conduct in-processing for personnel requiring access to classified information.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel security records and visit authorizations.
• Coordinate and support security briefings, including initial, annual, and special accesses, debriefs.
• Monitor and support personnel security clearance processing and CE/CV updates.
• Support access control procedures and manage badge issuance and accountability.
• Conduct physical security inspections and support self-inspections in alignment with NISPOM requirements.
• Assist in maintaining facility accreditation documentation (e.g., Fixed Facility Checklists, diagrams, alarm testing logs).
• Ensure proper safeguarding, storage, and destruction of classified material.
• Support security incident response and reporting processes as required.
• Maintain compliance with NISPOM, DCSA guidance, customer guidance, and company SPP.
• Assist with classified meetings, including clearance verification.
• Provide rotational support to other cleared facilities as needed.
• Support enterprise-wide security initiatives and best practices.
• Conduct opening/closing procedures, security checks, and end of the day inspections.
• Create badges for employees and contractors working at facility.
• Identify and report reportable information, incidents, and changes in personnel.
• Assist with clearance verification, visit certifications, and access eligibility validation for employees and visitors.
• Assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and security team with ongoing compliance and documentation efforts.


Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
• 5+ years of experience in personnel and physical security within a cleared contractor environment.
• Familiarity with DISS, NISS, SWFT, NBIS, eQIP, ACCS, SIMS, and other security related systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to follow established procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Active member in a security association.
