SPA has an immediate need for a FMS Mechanical Engineer supporting PAE Fires, IFMC PO, Redstone Arsenal, AL.  We are seeking a highly motivated Engineer with a strong hardware engineering background to support the development, production, lifecycle management, and configuration control of hardware systems for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.  This position involves working closely with U.S. Government stakeholders, allied nations, and internal engineering teams to develop, integrate, and deliver hardware systems in support of international defense requirements.  Candidate should possess a strong foundation in systems engineering processes and experience working with technical data packages. Candidate will play a key role in designing, analyzing, and integrating complex systems within multidisciplinary project teams. Candidate shall have knowledge and experience of applying Agile principles to complex hardware, software and network systems. #KS


Responsibilities

Responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, collaborating across engineering domains to ensure compliance with system requirements, and contributing to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation packages. Candidate needs experience with radio frequency (RF) and internet protocol (IP) network implementation in military systems. Must have a demonstrated competency in problem-solving and cross-functional teamwork. Candidate is expected to coordinate technical requirements and interface with foreign customers, U.S. Government representatives, and prime contractors.  Understanding of Foreign Military Sales (FMS),  Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) and government acquisition process is a plus. Candidate will be responsible to IFMC Hardware Product Manager and Modernization Division Chief for maintaining technical integrity and all engineering disciplines across all technical activities associated with IBCS FMS Cases.  Candidate will be a direct support to the IBCS Inc 2 Lead for the proper application of engineering principles.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Degree Qualification - BS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred)   
  • Years of Engineering Experience Required - 10
  • Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain it throughout employment
  • Candidate must be a resident of the Huntsville, AL area or be willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area

Desired Qualifications:

  • Foreign Military Sales experience
  • IBCS experience
