Job Description

At Syngenta, our goal is to build the most collaborative and trustworthy team in agriculture, providing top-quality seeds and innovative crop protection solutions that improve farmers' success. To support this mission, Syngenta’s (HSE Team) is seeking a Safety Manager BR in São Paulo, Paulínia or Indaiatuba. This role will support: 

  • Provide occupational and process safety expertise to BR Region within Crop Protection and Seeds; 
  • Ensure the implementation of HSE Global / Regional strategy / processes within BR Region to guarantee compliance with applicable Legal Requirements and Syngenta Code of Practices in occupational and process safety. Be the design authority of occupational and process safety 
  • Effectively asses and communicate functional needs to the LT’s (HR LT, HSE BR LT); 
  • Provide professional advice and support to function and business at Regional and Global level as needs are identified and agreed; 
  • Provide advice, support, training and development to local HSE teams; 
  • Provide validation, audit and assessment that required safety standards are adopted throughout the region. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum experience of 5 years in HSE – Safety in Chemical / Pharmaceutical / Oil & Gas industry; 
  • Advance English; 
  • Degree in Science, Engineering or related Technical subject; 
  • Detailed operational knowledge of the Syngenta HSE Management System and a working knowledge of existing and developing relevant HSE legislation; 
  • Appropriate national/international qualification in HSE management or a specialist HSE discipline. Pos graduation in Work Safety; 
  • Project and change management skills and experience.
