Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer with a strong background in C#/.NET Core to join our Sydney team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for designing scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs, with hands-on expertise in cloud-native architectures and microservices.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop scalable, high-performance backend services and RESTful/GraphQL APIs using C#/.NET Core.
- Design and implement microservices architectures leveraging AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, EKS, and RDS.
- Develop and maintain cloud-native solutions, incorporating serverless and event-driven patterns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and utilize DevOps best practices.
- Write comprehensive unit tests (using xUnit, NUnit) to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshoot, and optimize existing applications for performance and security.
Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of software development experience, with a significant focus on backend services.
- Proven expertise in building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, serverless, and event-driven development.
- Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration with AWS EKS or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, RDS.
- Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Solid understanding of unit testing frameworks like xUnit, NUnit, and code quality tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with frontend integration (e.g., working with frontend teams or API consumption).
- Knowledge of other programming languages or frameworks.
- Prior experience working in financial services or regulated industries.
