Job Title: Senior Ab‑Initio Developer
Experience: 7–10+ Years
Role Summary
Seeking an experienced Senior Ab‑Initio Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale data integration solutions. The role requires deep hands-on expertise in Ab‑Initio, strong analytical ability, and ownership of end-to-end delivery in a highly regulated environment, preferably banking or financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Ab‑Initio ETL applications for large-scale enterprise data platforms.
- Build, enhance, and optimize batch and real-time data processing pipelines.
- Translate business and functional requirements into efficient and scalable technical solutions.
- Perform performance tuning, debugging, and optimization of Ab‑Initio graphs and components.
- Ensure data quality, reconciliation, and compliance with enterprise data governance standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, QA teams, and upstream/downstream systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide production support, including root-cause analysis and defect resolution.
- Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews and design reviews.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in Ab‑Initio development.
- Strong expertise in:
- GDE (Graphical Development Environment)
- Co>Operating System
- Metadata Hub (EME)
- Parallelism, partitioning, and performance tuning
- Excellent understanding of ETL concepts, data integration, and data warehousing methodologies.
- Strong SQL skills and data analysis capabilities.
- Experience working in banking / financial services or other regulated enterprise environments.
- Solid knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and release/change management processes.
