About the Role:

As a Structurer and Transaction Manager within LHSS Americas, you will lead the pricing analysis of full risk transfer transactions and end-to-end transaction management, from initial structuring through final execution.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working as a team to develop innovative, tailor-made solutions designed to meet client needs while staying within the company's risk appetite
  • Preparing detailed pricing memos and materials for internal approvals and external discussions
  • Driving the project management of complex transactions, including coordination of stakeholders, managing timelines, documentation, and adherence to internal governance/underwriting standards
  • Working with internal experts to evaluate, model, and communicate the financial impact of transactions across a broad range of accounting and financial metrics
  • Evaluating and communicating the implications of all risks (e.g., biometric, mortality, lapse / policyholder behavior, market, and credit) through quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Working as part of a cross-functional/disciplinary team during due diligence and contract negotiation
  • Providing projections and onboarding support to Finance and Portfolio Steering & Monitoring to ensure end-to-end execution success and enable ongoing performance monitoring for LHSS transactions
  • Supporting and driving the execution of the team's strategy

This role offers the opportunity to develop deep technical expertise in structured transactions while gaining broad exposure to cross-functional teams, client interactions, and senior management at Swiss Re.

About You:

You are a self-starter who thrives in a complex, transaction-driven environment and is comfortable owning both technical analysis and execution. You combine strong quantitative skills with sound judgment and the ability to see the broader commercial picture.

We are seeking candidates bringing the following qualifications:

  • Quantitative background, e.g. actuarial designation
  • Experience in traditional life re/insurance with emphasis on evaluating mortality and lapse/policyholder behavior risk in the U.S. market
  • Experience with building cash flow models in AXIS
  • Comfort working under deadlines and navigating ambiguity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence across teams
  • Ability and willingness to engage with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Knowledge of various regulatory and accounting frameworks including IFRS 17, US statutory, US tax, and Swiss Statutory.
  • Ability to interpret actuarial model output with regards to drivers of surplus emerging and other financials of life insurance
  • Experience in evaluating complex liabilities (e.g., VUL, UL/ULSG, LTC) is preferred but not required

Above all, you are collaborative, resilient, and trusted by peers as someone who can be relied on to move complex transactions forward.
