About the Team:
You will join a collaborative team of experienced underwriters dedicated to profit‑oriented underwriting of large and middle‑market construction and renewable energy risks. This dynamic and highly collaborative group of underwriters is focused on profitably underwriting Renewable Energy risks—both onshore and offshore, in construction and operation.

We are seeking a highly motivated, results‑driven Underwriter or Senior Underwriter to strengthen our Engineering & Construction portfolio in the United States.

This role is available in our New York (NY), Chicago (IL), Alpharetta (GA), and Houston (TX) offices. Swiss Re operates under a hybrid work model, with an average expectation of three days per week in the office.
The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $240,000 for Chicago (IL), Alpharetta (GA), Houston (TX) - and - $168,000 to $252,000 for New York City. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role, will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/ specialization/ scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
