About the Role 

In this pivotal role, you'll bridge the gap between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring our insurance products deliver exceptional value. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into clear specifications that guide our development process. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Analyze and clarify business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications including business architecture, process maps, wireframes and data models 

  • Ensure comprehensive specification of User Stories with all required data and background analysis available to the entire team 

  • Design and define related test cases and support the Product Owner in creating effective acceptance criteria 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Platform Product Owners, Technology Leads, Business Process Managers, Business Architecture and the Data Office to maintain end-to-end consistency of system, process and information architecture 

  • Anticipate and analyze customer needs to develop effective problem-solving solutions 

  • Organize and prioritize the Product Backlog based on Product Owner guidance 

  • Own production support for one or more business applications, addressing user requests directly or triaging more complex cases to the development team 

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation on the corporate Wiki

About You 

 

You're a detail-oriented problem solver who thrives in collaborative environments. You have excellent analytical skills and can effectively translate between business and technical domains. You're proactive, customer-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality solutions that drive business value. 

 

We need you to bring in the following must haves: 

  • 5+ years of experience as a Requirements Engineer or in similar roles 

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills 

  • Strong grasp of Agile methodologies and experience working in cross-functional product teams 

  • Proficiency in tools like Jira or similar Agile management platforms like Azure DevOps 

  • Proficient in Visio or other process mapping tools, with good knowledge of BPMN 

 

 

These are additional nice to haves: 

  • Experience with Commercial Insurance products and processes 

  • Knowledge of insurance industry standards and regulations 

  • Experience with data modeling and database concepts 

  • Familiarity with API design principles 

  • Background in software development or technical implementation 

 

 

You will be working in a hybrid setup (50:50), perfectly balancing work from home and the office premises (2-3 days per week).

 

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2,100 and EUR 3,400 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​  

- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​


In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.​
