About the Role
In this position, you'll be assessing risks and negotiating insurance conditions for diverse projects in power generation, manufacturing, infrastructure, construction and renewable energy.
We are open to any level of experience, as we offer development and will evaluate the level of seniority during the recruitment process. This can be from graduate level with a technical background or if you have a few years of experience already.
Key Responsibilities
Assess risks and negotiate insurance conditions for projects in power, manufacturing, infrastructure, renewable energy and construction sectors
Build relationships with clients and brokers across the Benelux & Nordic regions
Support sustainability initiatives and drive environmental goals in our portfolio
Lead underwriting processes when in a lead position
Contribute to business development by representing Corporate Solutions with brokers and clients
Grow our portfolio in machinery breakdown and renewable energy sectors
About the Team
You'll join a team of experienced Senior Underwriters in Hoofddorp and Copenhagen with expertise across the construction market, with significant focus on renewable energy (both on- and offshore). We serve clients primarily in the Benelux and Nordics regions, insuring their projects and assets worldwide.
About You
You're motivated to learn and grow in corporate insurance, take initiative, and understand the Benelux business environment.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
Engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, civil, or process); OR 2+ years as a professional engineer; OR experience as a loss adjuster with technical knowledge
Strong analytical skills and IT proficiency including AI
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in Dutch and English

For The Netherlands, the base salary range for the Junior Underwriter level is between EUR 50,000 and EUR 74,000 and for the Underwriter level is between EUR 76,000 and EUR 114,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
