Job Summary:  

Sweeping Corp of America is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to join our team as a Shop Helper. As a Shop Helper, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the daily operations of our shop. Your main responsibilities will include supporting the team in the shop with completing tasks, retrieving parts, completing oil changes, and other duties. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with a passion for automotive repair and maintenance.

 

  • Hours: Tuesday- Saturday 11:30AM- 9:00PM Availability subject to change according to operational needs
  • Location: 1113 N Shaw Rd, Stockton, CA 95215
  • Rate of Pay: Starting at $18 per hour

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Process and track parts that have been placed on order.  
  • Prioritize multiple parts pickup and deliveries.  
  • Ability to respond to emergency pickup and delivery.  
  • Pays attention to details and observe safety precautions. 
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.  
  • Basic computer skills for placing orders.  
  • Able to identify correct parts, based on part number and shelf location.  
  • Assist with inventory control.  
  • Help technicians as necessary.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements:   

  • Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.  
  • Prior delivery/driving experience  
  • Able to perform oil changes and major fluid changes
  • Must be able to perform 90-day bit and air brake inspections
  • Mechanical aptitude and industry experience preferred 
  • Moderate lifting - no greater than 40 lbs.; moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping.  
  • No fine manipulation or fine manual dexterity required.  
  • Ability to stand for a full shift in addition to walking, climbing stairs and bending as required.  
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.  
  • May be exposed to solvents, chemicals, and refuse.  
  • May be exposed to other risks associated with working around machines, tools, and trucks-CDL related
